A closer look at transmission-tower foundations

Reinforcement, formwork and pile-cap concrete pouring appear in the supplied tower-foundation photographs.

SIMBA’s supplied tower-foundation photographs show reinforcement grids, steel anchors, timber formwork and concrete pouring. Some activities were photographed during the day and others at night.

Reinforcement and anchors sit within the pile-cap area. Before pouring, component positions, reinforcement connections and formwork need to be checked against the applicable drawings. Structural design determines the dimensions and reinforcement required for each project.

The nighttime photographs show the crew working around reinforcement and concrete pouring in progress. A separate image shows a team briefing. The briefing adds a view of the team’s preparation before work in the foundation area.

An initial discussion about tower foundations can start with structural drawings, site information, equipment access and the required scope. Contact SIMBA through the Contact page to discuss the work.
